Speaking on Wednesday, he emphasized the need for unity and a collective effort in building a cohesive government.
“Let us abandon politics of tribalism and divisions and focus on building a united government,” President Ruto stated.
While highlighting his administration’s commitment to forming an inclusive government that represents all Kenyans, he pointed to the recent appointments of Finance CS John Mbadi, a native of Homa Bay, and Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi from Siaya as examples of efforts to foster national unity.
Reflecting on his relationship with Raila Odinga, Kenya’s African Union Commission chairperson candidate, President Ruto acknowledged the vital role Raila has played in the country’s democracy.

The President called for unity and cooperation, inviting leaders and citizens from diverse backgrounds to work together towards national development goals.
Meanwhile, John Mbadi and Opiyo Wandayi praised the President’s efforts to build an inclusive government, expressing unwavering support for the administration.
“We decided to join you, and we will support you all the way,” Mbadi affirmed, recognizing the significance of the shift towards inclusivity for their region. He expressed gratitude for the President’s leadership in promoting a more inclusive political landscape for Kenya.
