The legal battle caused by the outcome of the August 9 presidential election in Kenya has finally been laid to rest as the Supreme Court on Monday affirmed the victory of the Deputy President, William Ruto at the polls.
He narrowly defeated the veteran opposition leader and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga at the polls.
The apex court in its unanimous judgment delivered by the Chief Justice, Martha Koome, dismissed Raila Odinga’s petition where he alleged electoral fraud against Ruto.
