The abducted 400-level student of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Olayinka Toyinbo, has regained freedom.
Olayinka was said to have been kidnapped alongside two others at a farm in Abule Itoko, Odeda, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The owner of the farm and a Togolese lady, who were the two persons abducted with Olayinka, have also regained freedom.
Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the development to newsmen on Tuesday.
Abimbola said the trio have reunited with their families.
“Police operatives have been in the forest for those three days. The student and the two others were released yesterday night. They have been reunited with their families.” Oyeyemi said.
Recall that students of FUNAAB, had yesterday held a protest demanding the release of their fellow colleague with some seen holding placards that read “I came to read book, I did not come to pay ransom”, “an injury to one, an injury to all”, “free our student”.
