Everron Manager, Frank Lampard is most likely going to be sacked after his club lost another Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday night.
It was a match Everton needed to get maximum points but that wasn’t the situation as West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen scored twice in the first half to inflict Lampard’s sixth defeat in seven Premier League fixtures.
The result at the end of that encounter has left Everton on 19th position on the table, and only above Southampton that also lost 0-1 to Aston Villa, on goal difference.
Elsewhere, Nigeria’s Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen scored to help extend Napoli’s grip on the Serie A title race by beating local rivals Salernitana 2-0.
The Italian club temporarily moved 12 points ahead of the chasing pack.
First goal from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and another from Osimhen in either side of half-time made sure that Napoli will be at least nine points clear at the halfway point of the season after a straight-forward win in soaking Salerno.
Luciano Spalletti’s side now have to wait until their closest rivals AC Milan take on Champions League-chasing Lazio in Rome on Tuesday to know just how far in front they will be after collecting 50 points in 19 matches.
Inter Milan are a further point behind their local rivals and will move provisionally into second place if they beat Empoli on Monday.
After 15 points deduction from Juventus for illegal transfer dealings, they might have lost out in Seria A title chase.
