The Libyan Football Federation, (LFF) has reportedly sacked Serbian Head Coach Milutin Sredojević.
Sredojevic’s sack is happening few weeks ahead of upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, (AFCON) qualifiers against Nigeria.
Popularly known as Micho, the Serbian, had his contract renewed for six months recently before he was shown the way out, Sports Village Square reports.
His sack was reportedly triggered by the results obtained in their two matches of the AFCON qualifiers.
Libya drew 1-1 with Rwanda at home and lost 2-1 away to Benin Republic despite being a goal up at half time.
The Libyan side – Mediterranean Knights, are due to play against the Nigeria Super Eagles in Uyo on October 6, while the return leg holds on October 14, 2024 at the 11 July Stadium in Tripoli.
It now remains for the LFF to appoint an interim or substantive coach for the National team.
