Barcelona forward Lionel Messi could be on his way to the US sooner than expected as reports have it that the Argentine has bought an apartment worth £7.25 million in the country.
The Argentine whose contract at Barcelona expires in June, recently admitted that he would love to feature in the MLS someday and buying an apartment could just mean the player’s next stop is the US.
However, Premier League outfit Manchester City as well as French side PSG have reportedly shown interest in the 33-year-old.
He recently told Spanish TV station La Sexta as cited in SunSport: “My plan is to give all I can for the club at the moment.
“I would like to play in the United States and experience life and the league there, but ultimately come back to Barcelona in some capacity.
“I’m not thinking too far ahead in the short-term and just want to see how the season finishes.”

And top radio station in Spain Cadena Ser has disclosed that the player is officially planning his move to joining David Beckham’s team by purchasing a luxury apartment in the city.
A pad worth at least £7.25million was reportedly purchased by the Argentine last year.
The swanky Porsche Design Tower, completed in 2017, sits on the Sunny Isles beachfront in Miami.
Branded by the German supercar manufacturer of the same name, the building boasts three car lifts allowing residents to park their vehicle on the same floor as their suite.
Barcelona are currently occupying sixth position on the Spanish La Liga table with 25 points after 15 games played so far.
