Premier League leaders Liverpool are out of this season’s UEFA Champions League after losing 1-4 on penalties to France’s PSG.
With the victory, PSG are through to the quarter-finals.
The match, which ended 1-1 on aggregate after 120 minutes, was pushed to penalties.
PSG Goalkeeper Heroics
During the shootout, Gianluigi Donnarumma, PSG’s goalkeeper, was the hero for the Ligue 1 champions as he saved penalties from Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones.
PSG, coached by Luis Enrique, will face either Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the last eight.
Bayern, Kane Exploits
In the other round of 16 tie, Bayern Munich thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 on aggregate to progress.
Bayern came into the second-leg tie with a 3-0 lead following a commanding performance at home last week and were again the better side in Leverkusen, with Harry Kane being the standout performer.
Kane has now scored 10 goals in 11 Champions League outings.
Inter Tower
Meanwhile, Inter Milan overcame Feyenoord 4-1 on aggregate in another last-16 clash and will face Bayern in the quarter-finals.
The first leg will take place on 7/8 April, with the second leg a week later.
