Former Nigerian international and current Spartak Moscow’s winger, Victor Moses, has been ruled out for six months, due to a achilles tendon injury.
Moses suffered the injury in Spartak Moscow’s 2-0 away win against Ural on Saturday.
Moses who was stretchered off the pitch, has scored two goals in three league appearances for Spartak Moscow this season.
Moses has been in top form with Spartak Moscow since the start of the new Russian Premier League season. He has earned a Man of The Match award.
MRI results from the scan done and announced by Spartak Moscow informed that Moses will need surgery due to an Achilles tendon injury sustained in the match.
The development means that Moses will be facing a long lay-off as his recovery will take about six months, the team’s doctor confirmed later on Monday.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has revealed that he has completed a degree programme in Business Management.
Before now, the Nottingham Forest striker’s highest academic qualification was a Diploma in Business Administration and Marketing Management.
Awoniyi has, however, confirmed that he has finished his degree programme at the Buckinghamshire New University, Buckinghamshire, England.
Awoniyi ended last season as the most prolific Union Berlin player in Bundesliga history.
He was only at the club for less than two years.
And earlier in the summer, Nottingham Forest splashed over €17 million to bring the former Liverpool signing to the Premier League and made him the club’s most expensive player ever.
