Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has now scored his 400th career goal after scoring in Napoli’s Serie A win against AC Milan inside Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Lukaku’s goal-scoring feat spans both club and country.
The Belgian forward scored the second goal in the first half as the Partenopei held on for all three points after Luka Jovic scored a consolation goal for Milan six minutes before the end of the match.
The victory kept Antonio Conte’s side three points shy of leaders Inter Milan and Lukaku.
Lukaku went on to dismiss claims that he receives special treatment from manager Conte.
“I don’t have any special treatment; on the contrary, he is more severe with me because he expects a lot,” he stated.
“I like this responsibility; it has made me grow and improve throughout my career. I will always be grateful to him for this.”
Napoli will next be in Serie A action away at Bologna on Friday night.
