A Nigerian man, Dahiru Buba who trekked over 550 kilometres to celebrate President Buhari’s electoral victory in 2015 is down with broken limbs and has launched a public appeal to raise funds that will help treat his limbs.
Mr Buba who hails from Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe state is also seeking help from Governor Inuwa elected under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and other ruling party chiefs to come to his aid.
“Since the time I conducted the trekking, the limb pain is growing by the day,” Buba told newsmen.
According to him, he was only awarded a certificate by the then APC secretary, Mai Mala Buni for trekking over 550 kilometres to celebrate President Buhari’s victory over incumbent GoodLuck Jonathan in 2015.
The Gombe State Indigene is also seeking public support to clear school fees of his children.
It would be recalled that dozens of Nigerians trekked from different part of the country to show support for President Buhari when he became the first politician to defeat an incumbent president in March 2015.
However, some of the trekkers have publicly expressed regrets for their extreme show of support as the president’s economic and social policies have become subjects of widespread criticisms.
