Manchester City on Saturday edged their neighbours United 2-1 to claim the 2023 FA Cup.
The victory has now seen City win a double so far this season, with just one game away from completing their treble dream.
The Coach Pep Guardiola side will fancy beating Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final next week to achieve the uncommon result.
FA Cup Glory On Gundogan Feat
En route to clinching FA Cup, it was Ilkay Gundogan who scored twice for City in the final.
Gundogan sensationally volleyed Manchester City into the lead, beating the previous fastest ever FA Cup final goal scored by Louis Saha after 25 seconds in the 2009 final.
United were on the brink of freezing on the big stage during a dominant opening from City but they stayed in the game and levelled when Jack Grealish was punished for handball, spotted by VAR, after blocking an Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross.
Bruno Fernandes did the rest from the penalty spot.
Again, City regained their lead when Kevin De Bruyne picked out Gundogan on the edge of the box and he controlled his second volleyed finish of the game past David de Gea, who was caught a little flat-footed.
Awaiting Treble Feat
Istanbul and Inter Milan are next on City’s agenda and in their current relentless, irresistible mood, it would be more of a surprise if they did not complete the treble than if they did.
If they defeat Inter, they will become second English side to achieve such feat after United did so in 1999.
