The hope of seeing a sensational reunion of Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola may not make head way after all as Manchester City have been told to forget about the Argentine.

Pep Guardiola who recently signed a new deal with the Citizens to continue as their gaffer and there have been reports that the Spaniard would try to secure the services of Messi.

According to the latest report on UK Sun, Barcelona’s presidential candidate Victor Font has made it clear that the club would not allow Lionel Messi to leave next year.
The 48-year-old explained that he has already told Manchester City chiefs that their chances of signing Lionel Messi will be zero if the club should elect him the next president.
“I already told Soriano to forget about Messi, to look for alternatives to win the Champions League. “Messi will continue with us and we will win the Champions League.”
Lionel Messi made his first appearance for Barcelona in 2004 and the Argentine has so far played 493 games for the Catalan giants with 447 goals.
