Manchester United star, Bruno Fernandes has revealed that embattled Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the backing of the players amid the team’s stuttering form this season.
The Red Devils have put up a not-too impressive performance this campaign despite securing the services of Marco Verane, Jadon Sancho and talismanic striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
United had to come back from 2-0 down to beat Serie A side Atalanta 3-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday night ending a run of three games without a win.
While the club’s down form has called Solskjaer rein at the helm into serious questioning, Fernandes believes the Norwegian remains the right man to steer the club to success.
“Of course, obviously, he is our coach. We follow him every day. We show that. We follow his ideas and we will continue to do so,”Fernandes told TNT Sports.
“We believe in our coach and our staff. We need to do what the coach tells us because our coach is the maximum exponent of what we must respect. He has been here for three years and we’ve done good things. It’s true that we haven’t won anything up to now, but the team has shown it has grown a lot.
“We have a lot to improve on and the coach also knows there has to be some improvement at their end but that is part of football.”
United currently sit five points adrift of Premier League leaders Chelsea.
