Microsoft has made known its intention to buy over the US gaming giant ‘Activision Blizzard’ in a whooping deal of $69 billion, as the tech colossus seeks to boost its power in video games.
If the US gaming giant is successfully bought over, it will make Microsoft the third-largest gaming company by revenue, just behind Tencent and Sony, which will definitely be a major change in the booming world of games.
“This acquisition will accelerate the growth in Microsoft’s gaming business across mobile, PC, console and cloud and will provide building blocks for the metaverse,” Microsoft said in a statement.
