Brazilian centre back David Luiz and Spanish midfielder Dani Cabellos were reportedly involved in a rift during their training session on Thursday.
According to reports, Luiz struck his Gunners team mate in the face over claim that he wasn’t comfortable with the way the Spaniard had tackled him.
The punch had led the midfielder to bleeding and in an attempt to fight back, Ceballos, who was knocked down, got up on his fit but both of them were separated by other teammates and staff members.
However, Ceballos had labeled the report as ‘fake’ on his official Twitter account on Thursday evening.
Sources had disclosed that the duo came back to apologise to their colleagues for causing a break up in the training session and consequently resumed with no issue.
Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta was said to have weighed in on the incident by asking both players to make peace in the team’s locker room.
Both players are no usual suspects in cases of altercation with their colleagues. David Luiz during his stint at Chelsea had a row with current manager of the North London team Frank Lampard at the time they were team mates during a Europa League semi-final clash with Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.
Whereas, the 24 – year – old Real Madrid on-loan midfielder faced off with Eddie Nketiah during a drill in the warm-up to their Premier League opener against Fulham.
Meanwhile, the young star had since then shoved the dispute behind him saying ‘it is all love’ between himself and Ceballos.
The row had surfaced days after Arsenal’s 3-0 shocking defeat to Aston Villa – a game that saw Ceballos came on as a substitute but Luiz was an unused substitute.
