Napoli have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Victor Osimhen in January 2025 and are open to a player exchange to facilitate the deal.
The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in excellent form, scoring nine goals in 11 Turkish Süper Lig matches.
However, according to TBR Football, his loan spell could end early as Napoli consider a permanent transfer, with several Premier League clubs, including United, being informed of his availability.
United’s need for a reliable number nine has grown under manager Ruben Amorim, with Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Højlund, and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to impress.
While the prospect of signing Osimhen is appealing, financial constraints could complicate the move.
Rashford, Højlund, and Zirkzee earn a combined £500,000 per week, and adding Osimhen’s reported £200,000 weekly wages would stretch the club’s budget further.
Napoli are reportedly open to a player swap to offset the financial impact.
The Serie A side is said to be interested in Rashford, Højlund, and Zirkzee, each of whom has appeal.
Højlund impressed at Atalanta, Zirkzee scored 12 goals in Serie A last season, and Rashford remains admired despite recent struggles.
