Reports from Italy indicate that Napoli Chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has set a whopping €500m price tag for Nigeria’s Super Eagles top striker Victor Osimhen.
According to L’Equipe reports, the Napoli boss told Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia representatives via that “Your bid can only buy one of Osimhen’s foot. For next year, I expect you’ll be able to table €500m and maybe we’ll entertain your offer, but I say again, ‘maybe’.
The PIF-funded outfit reportedly offered Napoli a total package worth €200m for Osimhen.
The media outlet reports that Al-Hilal’s €40m per year wages proposal made Osimhen think twice about joining Saudi Arabia.
The 24-year-old goal poacher who has been in blistering form since last season scored 31 goals in 39 matches for his club.
His ensured that Napoli won Serie A after three decades of searching.
Already, he has netted three goals for the Serie A Champions this new term.
The former Lille forward was linked with a move to top European clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
