Chelsea, Manchester United or any other club interested in uprooting Victor Osimhen from Napoli will need to “break bank”.
This is after his current side reportedly slammed €150 million on the inform Nigerian striker, who is presently on international duty.
The 24-year-old, has been in stunning form this season, registering 25 goals across all competitions.
He has played an important part in helping Napoli pull 18 points clear at the top of the Italian League (Serie A) and the team have also managed to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Serie A leaders are under no pressure to sell their star, who is tied to a contract until the summer of 2025.
Osimhen told Sport1 as captured by Goal, “I don’t know what the future holds. I think I’m on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything. I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Napoli. We will find a good solution together.”
Also, another Nigerian rising star Gift Orban, who plays for Belgian club Gent, now has his value going high.
According to reports, his valuation has shot from €3.3m to €9m within three months.
Orban, who joined Gent from Norwegian second-division side Stabek for €3.3m in January, is one of the most exciting talents in world football at the moment.
He has since hit the ground running immediately, after joining Gent, setting records in the Belgian Jupilier and in Europe.
The 20-year-old striker made history in the Europa Conference League last week, after he scored the fastest hat-trick ever in the history of a European competition for KAA Gent in their 6-1 thumping of Turkish club Basaksehir FK.
The forward scored the three goals in three minutes to take his tally to 12 goals in nine games across all competitions.
The previous record for the fastest hat-trick in a UEFA club competition was held by Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian superstar scored three goals in just six minutes in Liverpool’s 7-1 win over Glasgow Rangers, during a UEFA Champions League group stage match in October 2022.
Patson Daka holds the record for the fastest hat-trick in the Europa League. The Leicester City striker needed just nine minutes to score his three goals in a 4-3 victory over Spartak Moscow in October 2021.
