Pavel Nedved has claimed that Andrea Pirlo and Cristiano Ronaldo will ‘stay at Juventus’ for another year amid speculation about their future in the Turin based club.
The Biaconneri have endured a terrible season with the Serie A title being ripped of their grasp by arch-rivals Inter after almost a decade of uninterrupted dominance.
In this regard, Pirlo’s position at the dugout, has been called into question while doubts have also been cast over Ronaldo’s future at Juve with reports suggesting he could move on without honouring the final year of his contract.
However, Vice President of the club, Nedved has debunked rumours suggesting the pair could leave Serie A heavyweights
“Pirlo and Ronaldo will stay at Juventus,” Nedved told Striscia La Notizia.
Although, Ronaldo is approaching the final 12 months of his current deal after he joined from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
He has been unable to deliver the European success that he was drafted in for and the 36-year-old has since seen a return to Spain discussed, while there has also been talk of a second spell at Manchester United.
For now, Ronaldo and Pirlo are focused on helping Juve end a tough season as positively as possible.
The former league champions have slipped to fifth in the Serie A standings, but still have three league games left to secure a Champions League spot and a Coppa Italia final outing against Atalanta on May 19.
Nedved added: “There are some difficulties, but we’ll fight until the end.”
Juve will be back in action on Wednesday away at Sassuolo before taking on newly-crowned champions Inter on Saturday.
