General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has honoured four soldiers serving in the Division in Abakpa, Enugu, for diligence in performing their duties.
The honoured soldiers, Staff Seargent Amodu Simon, Seargeant Oyinbo Emmanuel, Corporal Mbanaso Isaac and Private Ibrahim Lawal, who were honoured during an event held on Tuesday at the Abakpa Cantonment, each recieved a brand new motorcycles in addition to Letters of Commendation from the GOC.
While presenting the bikes to the soldiers, Lagbaja described their conduct as commendable and examplary.
He noted that the soldiers’ assiduousness in ensuring the hygiene of the various portions of the cantonment assigned to them was impressive, just as he charged other soldiers of the Division to emulate the examplary conduct of the honourees.
The GOC disclosed that the four motorcycles pesented to the soldiers was a symbol of appreciation for their outstanding conduct. He therefore enjoined them not to relent in their duties even if they thought nobody is observing.
The four awarded soldiers were drawn from various units of the Division and were picked after a careful observation of their conducts over a period, the army said.
