Extremely early on Monday morning, protesting youths raided and burnt the school where a five-year-old minor, Hanifa Abubakar was killed and buried.
Hanifa was kidnapped by her teacher who requested for ransom from her parents and later killed her in December last year.
The School, Noble Kids Comprehensive College, is situated in Kwanar Dakata Community in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state.
The late Hanifa was killed by her teacher (Abdulmalik Tanko), according to the Police Public Relations Officer in Kano, Haruna Kiyawa who validated the death to newsmen last Friday.
The teacher had buried Hanifa in a shallow grave within the school premises located at Kwanar ‘Yan Gana in Tudun Murtala Quarters.
The police revealed that Tanko confessed that he kidnapped the girl and took her to his house where he contacted her relatives and demanded a ransom of N6 million.
The said teacher later conspired with one Hashim Isyaku to kill the girl on December 18, 2021, having realized that the victim had recognized him.
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has, however taken measures to ensure justice, some of which were indefinite closure and withdrawal of the operational license of the school where the girl was maimed.
