Several persons have been reportedly injured after an 18-seater bus conveying prospective Hajj pilgrims was involved in auto crash in Nigeria’s capital Abuja.
The bus according to multiple sources, was conveying the Saudi Arabia intending pilgrims from the neighbouring Nasarawa State to Abuja on Wednesday when the incident occurred along Kara, Keffi-Abuja road.
An eyewitness account said the crash occurred shortly after the 18-seater bus left Nasarawa en route to Abuja.
The body in charge of Muslim pilgrimage in Nigeria, the National Hajj Commission was yet to issue a statement on the development at the moment of this report.
Details had not fully emerged, but reliable sources said several persons were injured and have been rushed to medical facility for treatment.
It was not clear if any death was recorded.
