Nigeria and Ghana will not be part of 2025 U17 African Championship and World Cup.
This is after both countries lost in the semi-final of the ongoing U17 WAFU tournament in Accra.
While Nigeria lost to Ivory Coast, host Ghana went down to Burkina Faso 2-1 in the other semi-final clash on Saturday night.

Heritage Times HT reports that it was a tough battle for Nigeria as the Ivory Coast showed greater composure and hunger for the final ticket.
It now means that Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso that reached final at WAFU B contest will represent the zone at the African Championship.
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are five-time world champions and Ghana’s Black Starlets are three-time world champions.
Nigeria had won the WAFU tourney two years ago but failed to book a World Cup ticket while featuring at the continental level.
