The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is partnering with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on Vocational Skills Training Programme to boost the capacity of young Nigerians.
Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Engr Simbi Wabote who was represented by the Board’s General Manager, Capacity Building, Engr Ama Ikuru, harped that the Board’s expectation from this phase of the training is for the trainees to become successful and subsequently become employers of labour.
The NCDMB boss while speaking at the Kick-Off ceremony of Phase II of the Programme which held at the Bolton White Apartment, Abuja on Monday February 21, noted that 65 percent of the former trainees in the first Phase, are now entrepreneurs and are employing others.
The entrepreneurs were trained on mechanic services and maintenance, mobile phones repairs and troubleshooting, and others.
The training is the second in series organized by ITF in collaboration with the NCDMB.
