Top Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has visited his alma mater, Olusosun Primary School, in the Oregun area of Lagos State, taking his CAF award with him.
It would be recalled that Osimhen in December 2023, won the CAF 2023 Men’s Player of the Year Award, becoming the first Nigerian to win the award since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999.
His recent visit to the school was disclosed on X.com by a photojournalist, Sulaiman Adebayo, popularly called Pooja.
The caption read, “Victor Osimhen takes his CAF Award to Olusosun Primary School, Ojota, where it all started with street coaches and friends.”
His visit is coming days after he went online to publicly attack the former Super Eagles coach, Finidi George.
Recently, the Napoli star made aggressive comments on the former Super Eagles head coach a few hours after he tendered his resignation from the job.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to pay more than €75m (approximately N120 billion in Nigerian currency) to sign 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Victor Osimhen.
Undoubtedly, Mikel Arteta wants to add a new striker to his side this summer to bolster their chances of ending their Premier League drought and contending for other major honours next season.
After their failed pursuit of Benjamin Šeško who has extended his contract with RB Leipzig, the Premier League outfit seem to have shifted focus on getting Osimhen but may be hindered if they fail to pay his release clause.
