As the protest against bad governance in Nigeria entered the fifth day, the Nigeria Police Force announced the arrest of one suspect in Nasarawa State, northern Nigeria, for mass producing Russian flags wielded during the protest.
Heritage Times HT reports that angry protesters were also seen clutching the Russian flag in Kaduna, Kano and Katsina states on Monday. Russian flags was also wielded in Zamfara State.
Protesters were seen clutching the Russian flag while chanting songs in local Hausa language, and running through the streets in protest.
Earlier on Sunday morning, President Bola Tinubu had appealed to Nigerians to shelve the protest and come forth for dialogue.
