The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, miraculously survived an assassination attempt earlier today at the Osogbo Eid praying ground.
Heritage Times [HT] gathered that chaos erupted when a group of hoodlums, allegedly led by prominent members of the All Progressives Congress, forcefully seized control of the Governor’s designated area, resulting in a violent altercation with members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Eyewitnesses on the scene reported a harrowing ordeal as the assailants, armed with dangerous weapons, unleashed a brutal assault on the Governor’s entourage and loyal PDP supporters.
The situation quickly escalated into a state of pandemonium, causing fear and panic among the attendees.
Fortunately, the swift intervention of security operatives managed to contain the situation and prevented further harm.
Adeleke, popularly known as the “Dancing Governor”, was sworn in as the sixth governor of Osun State on November 27, 2022.
He often uses his dancing skills to connect with voters and supporters. He has been known to dance at events including campaign rallies and inauguration ceremonies.
