Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has directed that all nursing mothers, married and pregnant women should be deployed to their respective husband’s place of residence to participate in the compulsory three-week orientation camp activities.
This is coming after some people in the category listed by the scheme notified the scheme that they had been posted outside states where their spouse were domiciled, contrary to the NYSC laws.
NYSC has now given this category of women the liberty to report at any state comfortable for them for their orientation exercise.
The NYSC stressed that upon arrival, they are to present for registration, in addition to other relevant documents the following listed below:
1, Evidence of marriage.
2, Identity of husband.
3, Evidence of husband’s place of domicile.
The youth scheme added that it cherishes and strongly upholds the institution of marriage, while it urged all those concerned to take note of the new policy.
