Grammy-winning singer Tems has finally spoken out following her remarkable victory at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where she clinched the Best African Music Performance award.
The acclaimed artist, who continues to make waves in the global music industry, took to social media to express her gratitude and reflect on her journey. Filled with humility, she credited her success to divine intervention, referring to herself as a “Child of Grace.”
Tems secured the prestigious award for her hit song Love Me JeJe, surpassing a highly competitive lineup that included Yemi Alade, Asake, Chris Brown, Davido, Lojay, and Burna Boy.
This achievement marks Tems’ second Grammy win, further solidifying her reputation as one of Africa’s most influential music stars. Over the course of her career, she has earned eight Grammy nominations, with three nominations at this year’s ceremony alone.
Following her victory, Tems shared heartfelt moments on Instagram and X, posting pictures of herself celebrating alongside her mother and her team. Her posts radiated pride and gratitude as she acknowledged the role of faith in her journey.
In one of her posts on X, she simply wrote, “GOD DID” and “Special Baby, Trophy Baby”, accompanied by trophy and sparkle emojis an affirmation of her triumph and unwavering belief in divine favour.
Her heartfelt messages have since received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists, celebrating her continued rise on the global stage.
