The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign (APC) Council spokesman, Festus Keyamo, on Thursday, said the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is alive and well.
Keyamo who made this known during an interview on Arise TV on Thursday morning, added that the party can’t continue defending the presidential hopeful’s whereabouts every minute.
According to him, he spoke with the APC presidential candidate’s son, Seyi Tinubu on Thursday morning before coming to the live show and he assured him that Tinubu was fine.
Tinubu had on Monday explained he is strong and healthy while dismissing the rumour that he is dead. He also dismissed claims that he had withdrawn from the presidential race.
In a tweet accompanied by a video showing him working out on a fitness bike, he wrote, “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.
“This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am ready to serve Nigerians from Day One.”
The APC candidate who is believed to be in London, has been absent at three key events leading to the 2023 presidential elections.
He was notably absent at the signing of the Peace Accord by all the presidential candidates and party leaders, further fuelling speculations of his ill health.
Tinubu was represented at the event by his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
