As part of efforts to encourage Nigerians to get prepared for the much anticipated World Cup play-off match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Black Stars of Ghana, the Federal Government has announced 12 noon as the closing time from office on Tuesday.
After Friday’s 0-0 draw at the Baba Yara’s stadium in Kumasi, the Super Eagles host their Ghanian counterparts on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
A member of the LogisticscCommittee and SA to Minister of Sports, Kola Daniel confirmed that offices will close by noon to allow civil servants prepare ahead of the World Cup clash.
“The Federal Government disclosed that offices will close earlier at noon on Tuesday. This is to allow the civil servants to be able to prepare and go to the stadium to cheer the Eagles to victory.”
He added that the committee in collaboration with the Ministry of FCT has organised 100 buses to take fans to the stadium for free.
The game will kick-off by 7pm Nigerian time and CAF has approved full capacity where 60 000 fans are expected to cheer the Super Eagles to victory against the Black Stars.
