Weeks after a deadly auto crash that claimed some members of his family, former Nigerian international, Tijani Babaginda, is having a sigh of relief.
This is as his former Dutch club Roda JC came to his rescue after Babangida was involved in a ghastly vehicle accident along Kaduna-Zaria road in Nigeria.
Coupled with intensive medical and physical rehabilitation, fans of the Dutch club honoured their former winger and Super Eagles star as he was visited for the first time after tragedy hit his family.
The car accident killed his son and brother Ibrahim Babangida, also a former footballer.
Tijani was then celebrated on the pitch before Roda JC Kerkrade played 0-0 with Top Oss at the weekend.
Shortly after the life threatening accident a few months back, some personalities including Nigeria’s Minister of Sports development, Owan Enoh among others visited him in Abuja to sympathise with him and family, leaving a mole of promises, but did nothing since then.
