Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, may move to Manchester United from Napoli for a mouthwatering deal worth up to €120m, should everything works out fine.
Napoli had informed United what they want to swap Osimhen with Ronaldo, that Ronaldo will come on loan with United paying his entire salary.
Jorge Mendes, the agent of Ronaldo is pushing to have Cristiano play in the Champions League this year, but has been snubbed by several of Europe’s top clubs.
Ronaldo had earlier indicated that he wants to play for a club playing in UEFA Champions league this season with Mendes eager to end his client’s second stint with United and has reached out to Napoli – who are reportedly open to signing the Portuguese star.
Gianluca DiMarzio claims the Serie A big boys are willing to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner if United buy Nigerian international Osimhen from them for £85million.
It is claimed that the Italians would take Ronaldo on loan for the remainder of the season, although it’s unclear who would pay his astronomical wages.
Osimhen, 23, caught the eye of several clubs last season, in which he scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 32 appearances.
Responding, the Nigerian’s agent Roberto Calenda is adamant United haven’t been in contact about signing him.
Osimhen came to limelight in 2015 when he featured and scored 10 goals during the FIFA U17 World Cup which Nigeria eventually won.
Calenda via his tweet handle wrote: “No negotiations in progress, no exchanges.
“Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with his Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride together with the coach and teammates.”
Heritage Times HT reports that the Red Devils are desperate for a new forward, with their sights currently set on Ajax ace Antony.
