The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has mistakenly said President Muhammadu Buhari is insensitive to the yearnings of Imo people.
Uzodimma who is an ally of the President, made the mistake in a trending video of an interview he had with Channels Television on Buhari’s visit to the state.
Recall that Buhari visited Imo over the weekend to commission some projects executed by the Uzodimma’s administration.
Uzodimma who said the south-east was happy with the president’s visit noted that: “When we say this, we mean it. We meant every inch of the word — that we are supporting the president; we are supporting his administration, and we are supporting his policies, because Mr. President has shown sufficient interest in terms of pragmatic approach in listening and being insensitive to the yearnings of Imolites and Igbo people in general.”

Meanwhile, the office of the Governor has debunked reports suggesting he allegedly said President Buhari is insensitive to imolites in the viral video.
The Governor’s Director General of New Media, Paul Ihunanya described the video as doctored, adding that it was the work of the opposition and enemies of the present Imo administration.
According to Paul, Gov Uzodinma clearly said the President has sufficient interest in Imo.
“We are supporting his administration, we are supporting all his policies because Mr President has shown sufficient interest in terms of pragmatic approach in listening and be-ing~sensitive” to the yearning of Imolites.”
“That’s the clear words of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope UzodiNma,” Paul said.
