Taiwo Awoniyi was on target for his German Bundesliga team Union Berlin in their 3-1 win over Mainz on Saturday.
Awoniyi netted his 10th goal of the league season as he scored a brilliant goal in the 75th minute.
In the Italian Serie A, Nigerian striker David Okereke was on target for Venezia in their 3-1 defeat to Verona on Sunday. Okereke has scored 6 goals in 22 league apperances this season.
In Spain, Umar Sadiq was on target for Almeria in their 2-0 win against Fuenlabrada in the Spanish Segunda Division on Friday. The Nigerian striker has scored 14 goals with 7 assists in all competitions this season.
In Belgium, Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored a goal and bagged an assist for Genk in their 2- 0 win over Kortrijk on Sunday. The 27-year-old has now scored 16 goals with 2 assists in 25 league games this season.
Anthony Nwakaeme emerged the hero as he provided an assist and capped it up with a late winner, as Trabzonspor came from 2-0 down to beat Kayserispor 3-2 and strengthen their lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table on Friday.
Nwakaeme has now scored nine goals with nine assist in 21 appearances in the Turkish topflight this season.
Also, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa scored the winning goal as Fatih Karagumruk beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Saturday night. The 29-year-old has scored two goals in 21 league appearances for his club this season.
In the Premier League, Michael Olise recorded his fifth assist in the Premier League as Crystal Palace were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Burnley on Saturday.
Emmanuel Dennis played for 90 minutes as Watford played out a goalless draw with Manchester United at the Old Trafford stadium on Saturday.
Super Eagles assistant Captain William Troost-Ekong and his compatriot Samuel Kalu were overlooked for selection.
Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi put up a fine performance in Everton’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in their Premier League clash at the Goodison Park on Saturday night. Iwobi, who was handed his third consecutive start under new manager Frank Lampard was replaced by Anwar ElGhazi two minutes from time.
And at the Brentford Community Stadium, Frank Onyeka was also benched as Brentford’s poor run continued following their 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
In France, Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi played for 70th minute as Lorient edged Brest 1-0 in Sunday’s Ligue 1 game. The Nigerian international who was making his 24th appearance for the visitors, was a threat on Brest all through the time he was on the pitch.
In the Spanish LaLiga, Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze was a second half substitute as Villarreal defeated Espanyol 5-1 in Sunday’s LaLiga game. The winger was making his 16 appearance and has scored two goals this ongoing season.
