World record holder in the Women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, will be among the star athletes competing at the Queen’s/Grace Jackson Meet in Kingston, Jamaica.
The race, scheduled for Saturday, 25 January 2025, will mark the beginning of a new athletics season.
This will be Amusan’s first official race since the 2024 Paris Olympics, as well as for others expected to compete in Jamaica.
According to reports, the Jamaica meet is not World Athletics certified and will not count towards qualification for the 2025 World Championships.
The Championship is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, from 13 to 21 September.
In Jamaica, Amusan will compete in the 60m event against Jamaican athlete Grace Jackson, marking the first time the two will race in the same event.
Jackson had withdrawn from the 2024 Olympic Games.
