A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft on a routine mission in northern Nigeria has gone missing.
A statement by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet Wednesday night said the plane was “on routine mission in support of troops at one of the Theatres of Operation in the Northern part of Nigeria.”
The statement which did not state how many people were on aboard however noted that efforts are currently ongoing to locate its whereabout.
The incident comes weeks after a NAF Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed on Sunday, February 21 in Abuja.
All seven of the NAF personnel on board the aircraft died and have since been buried after throwing the entire nation into shock.
