As part of efforts to strengthen the delivery machinery of programs in the education sector, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of new Chief Executives for some education agencies in the country.
The country’s Ministry of Education disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement signed by its Director of Press and Public Affairs Ben Goong.
The statement listed the agencies and their new Chief Executives to include the following;
Prof. Akpama Simon ibor—Executive Secretary, National Commission For Mass Literacy, Adult And Non-Formal Education.
Prof.(Mrs) Chinwe Veronica Anunobi—Director/CEO, NationalLibrary.
Prof. Musa Garba Maitafsir ……. Director/CEO, National Teachers Institute.
According to Goong, all three appointments are with effect from the September 2, 2021 and for an initial tenure of Five (5) Years.
He further explained that the President also approved the reappointment of the Registrar/CEO of the Teachers Registration Council Of Nigeria(TRCN), Prof. Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye for a second and final tenure of Five (5) years with effect from August 1, 2021.
Similarly, Prof. Bashir H.Usman has been reappointed as the Executive Secretary, National Commission For Nomadic Education also for a second and final tenure of Five(5) years, the statement added.
