Nigeria’s Super Falcons number one goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year Award in the French Women League.
The nomination which is happening in the second consecutive football season, also has two others for the individual award.
Nnadozie’s Clean Sheets And Other Challengers
Others in same contest with Nnadozie who plays for Paris FC, are Olympic Lyon’s Christiane Endler and HAF Feminine’s Laetitia Philippe.
So far, Nnadozie has kept nine clean sheets in 19 league appearances this season, with Paris FC occupying third position on the league table.
They have amased 35 points from 20 games.
Nnadozie’s Unceasing Exploits
In 2020, the goal keeping czar linked up with her current club from Nigerian outfit Rivers Angels.
Before then, she was the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, a feat achieved against Korea in France, in 2019, when she was 18 years and 186 days.
The Super Falcons won the game by 2-0.
She was awarded with the Bruno Martini Award for Goalkeeping Revelation of the Season in French women’s football in 2022.
