The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has now scheduled the postponed African Nations Championship (CHAN) to kick off on 2 August 2025.
The tournament, meant for professional players plying their trade in their local country of origin, will end on 30 August.
Originally, the competition was fixed for February.
A resolution for a new CHAN schedule was agreed upon during a CAF Executive Committee meeting in Rabat, Morocco, chaired by CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe.
The trio of Uganda, Tanzania, and newcomers Kenya are co-hosts of the 8th edition of the competition.
Its final draw was earlier conducted this month in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi.
