The official song for the upcoming 2023 African Games has been launched in Accra, Ghana’s capital.
Heritage Times HT reports that the song composed by Ebenezer Oshogbo Crassie was unveiled by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the games, about three months to the continental sporting showpiece.
It was an event which took place inside the World Trade Centre.
Uveiling The Song Composer
Ebenezer Oshogbo Crassie, the singer was the star and toast of the night when the song for the 13th African Games was played to the hearing of Ghanaians for the first time.
The composer of the theme song was introduced and the music played live as well as recorded version also heard for the first time by the public with the support of Brass Simon’s band.
Crassie, a notable musician and songwriter is the CEO of Music Klinic and a resident of Kasoa in the Central Region.
An alumnus of St. Augustine’s College, he emerged victorious from a pool of over three hundred entries, and got the winner’s prize of GH¢40,000.
Crassie had further education at the prestigious Wits University in Johannesburg.
Throughout his career, Crassie has collaborated with renowned musicians and groups such as the Tagoe Sisters, Kofi B, Joyful Way Incorporated, K.K. Fosu, Lamisi, Sherifa Gunu, Rev Yawson, Ackah Blay and many others.
His technical expertise and passion for music have proved invaluable in ensuring the success of the artist.
Beyond his musical endeavours, Mr Crassie is a devoted family man married to Helena with whom he shares four children.

Meanwhile, more countries have confirmed their participation at the games.
DR Congo, Botswana, Chad, Benin, and Burkina Faso are the latest countries to join Nigeria, Cameroon, and others that have indicated their interest in the games.
The competition is scheduled to take place between March 8 and 23, 2024.
