Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh will return to the dugout this summer after being appointed Coach of German club side SV Straelen.
The former Bundesliga star will sign a one-year contract that will see him manage the club until the summer of 2023.
“Sunday Oliseh will be our new coach. In the last 24 hours, we were also able to agree on an employment contract until 30 June 2023,” the club said in a statement as per SZ.
“We are looking forward to working together,” Straelen’s President Hermann Tecklenburg added.
Oliseh last managed Dutch club, Fortuna Sittard, where he played a decisive role in their promotion to the Eredivisie in the 2017/2018 season.
However, three years after leaving the club, Oliseh is now back in the dugout and will be looking to impress his new club as he relaunches his coaching career.
His first match in charge of Straelen will see him take on second division club FC St, Pauli in the main round of the DFB Cup on July 30.
