Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has written his name in gold this season in the Belgium Jupiler league following a consistent stellar show for his club Genk.
Onuachu bagged a brace on Sunday, as his side defeated Antwerp 4 – 2 at home to go top of the league with 31 points in 15 games.
The visitors drew the first blood three minutes into the game through Koji Miyoshi but Onuachu made it 1-1 in the 19th minute.
The Super Eagles striker doubled four minutes after his opener to put Genk in front.
In the 59th minute, Genk extended their lead through Theo Bongonda before Dieumerci Mbokani made it 3-2 in the 83rd minute.
However, Cyriel Dessers sealed the win for Genk with two minutes left on the clock.
The brace takes his tally to 14 goals in 14 league matches-which puts him ahead of Bayern Munich’s goal machine Robert Lewandoski in most goals scored in Europe’s top 15 leagues.
The lanky striker have struggled to stabilize his place in the Super Eagles squad as his inclusion have often been faulted by football fans in the country. Well… it seems Onuachu is having his best start to the season.
