The home of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili was invaded on Friday evening by armed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to reports, the operatives arrived at Justice Odili’s Abuja residence and made immediate attempt to break in, but the wife of former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili, fervently resisted the attempts to raid her residence by the operatives, telling the operatives that she had no business with them.
“She told them to go and meet her husband because she does not have any matter pending before them,” a source under anonymity told The Gazette.
The operatives numbering up to 50, also included armed police officers.
Her husband has been facing corruption charges raised by the EFCC.
Also, a Judge earlier in the week ordered the immediate return of his international passport, on grounds that the EFCC have failed to substantiate grounds for the continuous seizure of the politician’s passport.
Heritage Times is yet to confirm if the attempted raid on Justice Odili’s residence situated at Imo River Street, off Danube Street, Maitama, was connected to her husband’s case.
