Nigeria’s Super Eagles and KAA Gent striker, Gift Orban, may incur a two-match ban following his misconduct during their last weekend’s game against Eupen.
After he was sent off during the match, the organisers of the league is set to decide his fate.
The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office ruled that it involved physical misconduct and more specifically, a brutal push with high intensity.
For Orban, it is the first red card in 57 professional matches.
According to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, a clean criminal record will play to Orban’s advantage.
KAA Gent is considering the proposal for an amicable settlement and will take a position no later than Tuesday.
Orban was among Nigeria’s senior men team that prosecuted the last African Cup of Nations qualifier match against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
