Nigeria Women’s International, Francisca Ordega, has bid farewell to Russian side CSKA Moscow Women’s Football Club.
The forward disclosed this via her social media pages.
She wrote:
“I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last three and a half years.
“We’ve achieved a lot since I joined this club. I took incredible pride every time I pulled on this shirt. It’s been an unforgettable and successful period since I came to this team @wfccska.
“Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge, to push myself again in new surroundings. @wfccska will always be in my heart.
“I will always be a member of the ARMY TEAM . Thanks to all the technical staff, the community, supporters of @wfccska, and my incredible teammates.
“CSKA WILL ALWAYS BE MY HOME❤️❤️. See you all at the TOP THIS COMING SEASON .”
Club Exploits
Since joining the club in 2021, Ordega played 84 matches, scoring 29 goals and providing 20 assists, helping the team secure several honours.
With the team, she won two Russian Cup titles, four Super League silver medals, and one Super Cup victory.
The 31-year-old Nigerian international has had a remarkable career, representing her country at all levels, including the under-17 and under-20 teams, and participating in three FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments.
She has also won several honours with the Super Falcons, including four African titles.
Ordega’s club career has seen her play in Sweden, the United States of America (USA), Australia, Spain, and Russia.
She previously played for Pitea IF (Sweden), Washington Spirit (USA), Sydney FC (Australia), Atlético Madrid (Spain), and Levante UD (Spain).
