After winning a third consecutive Women’s Champions League final, Nigeria’s Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala again stood out for her club Barcelona to enable them win the Spanish league title for the fourth time in a row.
The Spanish side defeated Sporting Huelva to eventually emerge victorious, with matches remaining.
Oshoala netted the third goal of the encounter.
After earning a starting appearance in a 1-1 semi-final draw with Chelsea in the Champions League, Oshoala was handed a starting role from the bench against Huelva for the ninth time this season and made an individual impact to guarantee their title success.
Despite a two-goal advantage, Giraldez introduced Oshoala in the 64th minute and the former Arsenal forward converted the third goal for her team in the 89th minute.
Her latest goal ends her seven-week league drought and takes her league tally to 20 with two assists from 24 games.
Barcelona have now bagged their fourth straight crown with 78 points from 26 games, 12 points ahead of Real Madrid.
The team has scored a whopping 108 goals and conceded five in the process.
Coincidentally, the men side of Barcelona are leading Real Madrid with over 10 points in the Spanish La Liga this term.
