Nigerian International Victor Osimhen on Sunday scored goal number eight for Galatasaray.
This was after the forward powered Galatasaray to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Samsunspor.
In the match, Osimhen scored twice, and dedicated his goals to teammate Mauro Icardi.
It was a burgers Sunday for the Nigerian as he opened the scoring just 3 minutes into the match with a powerful header, setting the tone early.
In the 55th minute, Osimhen struck again to give Galatasaray a decisive lead. Michy Batshuayi added a third, but Samsunspor kept up the fight, narrowing the gap with two goals of their own in between the Osimhen goals.
Despite the comeback attempt, Galatasaray held on for the victory, securing an important victory with Osimhen’s standout performance leading the way.
Meanwhile, Chelsea same day held Arsenal 1-1 in a Super Sunday English Premier League action.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both tied nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
However, struggling Manchester United whipped Leicester City 3-0 at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Ipswich held on for a 2-1 win at Tottenham to celebrate their first win of the season – and their first in the Premier League in 22 years.
