Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen and Simy Nwankwo both scored in a thrilling Serie A contest as Napoli edged out Crotone 4-3 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday.
Osimhen scored Napoli’s second goal of the game, while Nwankwo opened scoring for Crotone and later added the second.
Osimhen, who was replaced by Andrea Petagna in stoppage time has scored four goals in 14 league appearances for Napoli this season.
He also scored once and provided an assist for Nigeria during the international break.
Nwankwo on the other hand has scored 15 goals in 29 league appearances for Crotone this term.
While in the La Liga, Samuel Chukwueze was in action for Villarreal who defeated Granada 3-0 away on Saturday.
It was a fifth consecutive wins for Unai Emery’s side thanks to a hat-trick from Gerard Moreno.
Chukwueze was introduced in the 63rd minute of the game as Unai Emery’s men recorded their fifth consecutive victory in the Spanish top-flight.
Moreno had put Villarreal 1-0 ahead from the penalty spot in the 9th minute and made it 2-0 on 18 minutes.
On the hour mark, Moreno completed his hat-trick also from the penalty spot to put the visitors 3-0 up.
The win saw Villarreal climb to 5th place (Europa League spot) on 46 points in the league table.
