Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is most likely staging a comeback to action this week after weeks of injury.
Osimhen is yet to play after taking part in an international friendly match between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in Portugal earlier in September.
However, Napoli head coach, Rudi Garcia, has now hinted that the football star, gunning for 2023 CAF footballer of the year award, is expected to be available for selection in their next league match.
“The doctors manage and guarantee me that he is following the program. He will be with us in few days time,” the coach said.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi could miss Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho in Uyo and Zimbabwe in Huye, Rwanda later in November as a result of his niggling injury.
The Nottingham Forest goal poacher missed Nigeria’s last two friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal because of the injury.
The 26-year-old suffered a groin strain in the 1-1 draw against Brentford back in October, with the striker missing games against Crystal Palace and Luton Town.
Awoniyi made his return to action off the bench in the 3-0 defeat at Liverpool last Sunday, replacing Willy Boly in the 70th minute.
